High thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance are key factors making copper (and its alloys) the best choice for the pipes used in heat exchanging devices.

However the advantages of using copper tubes in heat exchangers are not limited to the enhanced conductivity. Mechanical strength, high temperature resistance, good formability, the possibility of joining two subcomponents in a durable way with a simple, easy brazing are other aspects leading to clear benefits.
